Mr. McShane established McShane Construction Company in 1984 following a highly successful career with a national design/build and development firm. Mr. McShane’s leadership, creativity and intuitive knowledge of design/build construction propelled McShane Construction into one of Chicago’s premier design/build firms. The growth of McShane Construction Company is reflective of Mr. McShane’s focused interest in serving the industrial, office, healthcare, multi-family, retail, hospitality, institutional, and higher education markets by providing unparalleled expertise in project management and on-site field supervision. Mr. McShane continues to focus on the geographical expansion and market scope penetration to enhance the firm’s furtherance within the national spectrum. His additional highlights within the construction arena include the establishment of Cadence McShane Construction in 1996 with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin and in 2002, the formation of the Western Regional office of McShane Construction Company in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2004, Mr. McShane initiated the opening of the firm's Southern California office further enlarging McShane's presence in recognized markets of growth and expansion. In 2005, Mr. McShane expanded McShane Construction Company into the southeast region with the establishment of the firm's regional office in Auburn, Alabama. Under Mr. McShane’s leadership, both McShane Construction and Cadence McShane have earned a prestigious reputation as providers of design/build, construction management and general construction services on a national basis.
