(La Porte, Texas) – The Houston office of Cadence McShane Construction is pleased to announce that the firm has completed the construction of two new speculative warehouse buildings totaling 660,000 square feet at the Port Crossing Commerce Center located at the Port of Houston in La Porte, Texas. Port Crossing is a new 300-acre commercial/industrial business park under development by Chicago-based ML Realty Partners and Houston-based National Property Holdings. Munson Kennedy Partnership provided the architectural services for the two-building development. Building B5 is a 412,665 square foot cross-dock distribution facility situated on a 20.7-acre site along Texas Highway 146 near Bayport Terminal. Building A4 is a 247,240 square foot single- or multi-tenant warehouse facility located on an 11.4-acre site that offers immediate access to a 22-track rail yard. Cadence McShane constructed the two industrial facilities of tiltwall panels with contemporary accents and multiple storefront entries. Building B5 includes 60 truck docks while Building A4 features 30 truck docks. Each facility offers extra-long truck aprons, extended warehouse clear heights and planned traffic circulation to facilitate the movement of goods throughout the facility while accommodating transportation to and from both rail cars and trucks. The master-planned commercial and industrial park is situated between the Barbours Cut and Bayport Container Terminals and offers immediate access to the Union Pacific rail line.
