2/26/2008 (Phoenix, Arizona) – AZRE: Arizona Commercial Real Estate Magazine held its 3rd Annual RED (Real Estate and Development) Awards on February 26, 2008 to recognize the biggest, best and most notable commercial real estate projects and transactions of 2007. The ceremony took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Phoenix, and was presented by Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, Community Bank of Arizona and Camelback Volkswagen Subaru. The event sponsors were Mortgages Ltd. Securities and Westcor. AZRE honored the developer, general contractor and architect of record for each of the projects. Each of the winning projects and brokers are featured in a special editorial report within the March/April issue of AZRE Magazine. “With more than 100 companies participating in the nomination process, the task of identifying the 12 best projects and top six brokers proved difficult,” comments Josh Schimmels, Vice President of Business Development for AZRE. “This year’s honorees represented the continued strength and diversity of Arizona’s commercial real estate sector.” The McShane Westside Business Park received top honors in the category of ‘Best Industrial Project’ of the year. Accepting the award on behalf of the development and project team were Alan Gillespie, Senior Vice President, McShane Development Company, representing the co-development team of McShane/MetLife Real Estate Investments; Loren Dickinson, President, Dickinson Architects, Inc.; and Tracy Hammer, Vice President, McShane Construction Company.
