5/6/2008 (Downers Grove, Illinois) – Despite cold temperatures and windy conditions throughout Chicago’s early Spring months, McShane Construction’s project team continues to achieve its scheduled milestones for the completion of The Residences at The Grove apartment complex in Downers Grove, Illinois. A development of M & R Development, one of Chicago’s premier apartment developers, The Residences at The Grove is a multi-building, 294-unit apartment community comprised of three eight-story apartment buildings and 24 rental townhomes. Located on a prominent and highly-accessible 16-acre land site at the intersection of I-355 and Butterfield Road in west suburban Chicago, the precast concrete and masonry structures are taking shape as large cranes raise sizable panels that comprise the exterior façade, floors and interior walls of the mid-rise buildings. The development is situated around a fully-featured clubhouse conveniently situated at the entrance to the complex that offers an outdoor pool, fitness center, meeting and party rooms and business center. The central courtyard will also host an outdoor fireplace with gathering areas and a reflecting pool. McShane Construction is on track to complete this large apartment community in late 2008.
