6/10/2008 (Houston, Texas) – Cadence McShane Construction was recently selected by co-developers, McShane Development Company and MetLife Real Estate Investments, to design/build the new 253,838 square foot Guhn Road Distribution Center in Houston, Texas. Located in the city’s northwest quadrant at Guhn and Northcourt Roads, the site is positioned just minutes from Highway 290 and Beltway 8. The facility can accommodate users from 40,000 square feet to a full-building user of 253,838 square feet. The project offers the advantages of new construction, on-site trailer storage and superior transportation access. Cadence McShane will construct the facility of low-maintenance tiltwall panels with a 30’ clear height. The facility will feature 53’ x 50’ bays with 52 external truck docks and four drive-in doors. The Guhn Road Distribution Center will also be constructed with an ESFR fire sprinkler system, 2,500 amp 277/480 electrical service and offer gas unit heaters for freeze protection. Cadence McShane will provide completion of the building in Fourth Quarter 2008. Munson Kennedy Partnership will provide the architectural services for the project.
