6/18/2008 (Chicago, Illinois) – Developer, DL3 Realty, L.P., recently hosted a Grand Opening and recognition ceremony at its new 27,000 square foot Roseland Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. The new medical office development is located on the campus of the Roseland Community Hospital, one of Chicago’s most recognized community medical centers. Established over 80 years ago, Roseland Community Hospital provides comprehensive healthcare for the residents of this far south Chicago neighborhood. McShane Construction and project architect, Urban Works Ltd., worked in concert with DL3 Realty to provide both a two-story and one-story mixed-use medical and retail center that would seamlessly integrate into the hospital campus and surrounding buildings yet resonate a modern and contemporary-styled environment. The precast concrete facility was accented with brick inlays, features solar screens and low-E glass and in keeping with the City of Chicago’s Green Roofs Initiative, features a ‘green roof’ and healing garden. Situated in Chicago’s 34th Ward, Alderman Carrie M. Austin has provided support and guidance throughout the development, construction and completion of this new community-based facility. Current tenants include medical suites for Roseland Community Hospital, Chicago Family Health Center and Fresenius Medical Care.
