(Libertyville, IL) - McShane Construction was selected as the contractor for a new 360-space, multi-story parking deck for the Village of Libertyville. The new two-story, three-tiered, 360-stall parking structure will be constructed at the southeast corner of Lake and Brainerd Streets on an open lot located behind the Village Hall in Libertyville, Illinois. The Village had already selected Walker Parking Consultants to coordinate the bid process and provide both site planning and architectural services for this sizable downtown parking improvement project. McShane participated in an aggressive bid process that provided selection criteria based on both competitive pricing and demonstrated expertise. McShane Construction’s extensive experience with structured parking decks as well as its guaranteed completion date months ahead of the Village’s originally anticipated completion secured this important project for the firm. McShane will provide all sitework and landscaping for the project and will utilize prefabricated precast panels to erect the structure. The August 2009 completion will provide ample time for local downtown merchants to benefit from the new parking capacity in advance of the holiday shopping season.
