4/14/2009 (Houston, Texas) – Cadence McShane’s Houston Office was recognized with the receipt of a “Landmark Award” presented by the Houston Business Journal on behalf of its recently completed 613,335 square foot Fallbrook Distribution Center located on a 38-acre site at 8103 Fallbrook Drive in Houston, Texas. Over 450 key executives representing all sectors of the commercial real estate community gathered at the InterContinental Houston Hotel in Houston on April 8 in anticipation of the announcement of award recipients. The “Landmark Awards” serve to recognize commercial real estate projects and developments that make significant impressions on the Houston landscape. Cadence McShane was mid-way though the Fallbrook Distribution Center construction schedule when Home Depot expressed an interest in leasing the entire building if certain modifications could be made. Liberty Property Trust consulted with Cadence McShane to rapidly convert the 615,000 square foot shell building into a customized build-to-suit for Home Depot. The facility features 32’ clear height and 53’ x 45’ typical bay spacing with 70’ speed bays to accommodate the needs of this large retailer. Munson Kennedy Partnership, architect for the project, played a crucial role in the redesign of the project. Cadence McShane captured the award due to the size and complex scope of this significant industrial project.
