(Phoenix, Arizona) – Climatec has selected the Phoenix office of McShane Construction to provide comprehensive renovation and remodeling services at its new 103,000 square foot corporate office, at the intersection of West Kathleen Road and North 28th Drive in Phoenix, Arizona. Climatec is one of the nation’s leading providers of advanced building technologies from complex HVAC solutions and energy services to advanced security, fire and temperature control systems. McShane Construction’s design-assist assignment includes partial demolition and reconstruction of the entire 103,000 square foot facility that will incorporate several of Climatec’s extensive product lines. The renovation also encompasses the comprehensive redesign of the interior spaces and entryway of the facility. Each of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems will be replaced with more cost-effective and energy-efficient operations. A new highly-efficient chilled water central HVAC system including FANWALL-based air handlers will replace the existing rooftop packaged unit that will also yield operating and maintenance cost savings both in the short- and long-term. Additionally, McShane Construction will completely reconstruct the entryway to the building providing an impressive design element that welcomes visitors and enhances the curb appeal of the structure. As part of the construction assignment, the existing cafeteria will be remodeled and re-opened to serve employees and two other companies in the business park. The parking area will also be reconfigured to provide additional vehicle parking spaces while the building’s surrounding landscaping will be redesigned and upgraded. Completion of this sizable renovation project for Climatec corporate headquarters is scheduled for May 2009. Phoenix, Arizona-based Dick & Fritsche Design Group is providing the architectural services for the project.
