5/21/2009 (Hunstville, Alabama) - Triad Properties Corporation recently awarded McShane Construction the design/build assignment of a 62,500 square foot, two-story office building located at 7115 Old Madison Pike in Huntsville, Alabama. Triad executed a lease with the U.S. General Services Administration, on behalf of the tenant, Defense Acquisition University. DAU is a division of the Department of Defense that provides mandatory, assignment specific and continuing education courses for military and civilian personnel. The property is located on approximately 10 acres within the Thornton Research Park. McShane will construct the building with a brick and glass exterior and state-of-the-art interior finishes. The facility has been designed to receive LEED™ certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The project celebrated an early May groundbreaking and is slated for a January 2010 completion.
