8/31/2009 (Hoffman Estates, Illinois) – McShane Construction Company recently completed the design/build construction of the new North, South and Central American corporate headquarters and showroom for Mori Seiki U.S.A., Inc. The new two-story, 104,000 square foot office headquarters and fully featured showroom is situated on a premier 7.5-acre site at the intersection of West Central Road and Huntington Boulevard at the Huntington Woods Corporate Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Mori Seiki is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of precision tooling machines that supply numerous worldwide clients in the aerospace, automotive and other scientific industries. The building will accommodate the recent growth of Mori Seiki U.S.A., Inc. within the North, South and Central American markets. This architecturally unique facility features a stunning two-story glass curtainwall lobby that accents the graceful entry into the facility. A second curtainwall was also incorporated within the generously sized showroom. The striking exterior includes an attractive design of energy-efficient precast wall panels highlighted by grey-tinted window lines throughout the facility. The diverse multi-purpose interior features a two-story, 58,515 square foot layout for the office and classroom area for the Chicago Technical Center, MTL (Machining Technology Laboratory) and MSU (Mori Seiki University). The interior also accommodates a 23,875 square foot showroom and 22,610 square feet of warehouse that includes several cranes.
